A New Little Pumpkin

Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch (stories to come) and, per our tradition, brought home pumpkins for each member of the family.

Nugget1

There was a big one for Daddy, a medium one for Mommy, a small one for Peanut and… wait a minute, hold the phone.

Nugget2

World, meet Nugget.

Nugget4

We have another little pumpkin on the way!  We’re all pretty much ridiculously excited.

Nugget3

Oh, and guess what?

Nugget5

Nugget’s on Team BLUE!

And I thought life was chaotic with just Peanut.  Nugget mania is scheduled to begin in (and hopefully not before!) March, 2015.

    • Thank you! We’re thrilled and looking forward to meeting the little fella in March. I won’t lay the blame for the reading slump at his door, though. Pregnancy exhaustion isn’t helping it, but if anyone is causing the reading slump it’s big sister, who is going through a clingy phase that makes it impossible to get anything done. So I’m all stressed about being two months into living in this house and having had NO time to unpack, and I can’t focus on reading as a result! It’s getting a little bit better, though. And my mom is coming for a visit next month, so she’ll unpack a bunch of boxes and then maybe I’ll relax a little!

    • Hee, thanks! It was fun coming up with something seasonal to break the news. Peanut loves the little gourd, too. She carries it everywhere. I hope she loves her little brother as much!

    • Thanks! We’re excited to meet the little guy although as you know pregnancy is wearing! I’m not blaming Nugget for the reading slump, although he hasn’t helped (falling asleep in Peanut’s rocking chair at 8:30 as I did last night is hardly conducive to reading…). But if I’m going to blame either kid for the reading slump it’s the one who is already here and going through the terrible, terrible, terrible twos right now! Poor Peanut. Poor Mommy and Daddy. 🙂

    • Thank you! We’re excited to be adding another munchkin to our family. It’s going to be chaos, but hopefully fun chaos! Should be interesting to see how different life is with a little boy in the house…
