“It came without ribbons! It came without tags!
It came without packages, boxes or bags!”
And he puzzled three hours, till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before!
“Maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store.
“Maybe Christmas… perhaps… means a little bit more!”
~Dr. Seuss
Merry Christmas, friends! I’m off to enjoy some family time. I hope you all have a sparkling, joyful day. Cheers!
Same to you, Jaclyn! Miss Peanut looks so adorable in this photo — she’s rocking that red outfit and shoes!
Thanks! She loves the shoes in particular. When I first got them for her, she wouldn’t stand while wearing them – all she wanted to do was hover with her feet up at eye level, staring at them! Haha. I would too, if I had fancy shoes like that!
I hope you had a lovely holiday! Peanut is absolutely adorable. Her hair looks so red here! Do you dye it that color?
[I’m only joking! I can’t tell you how many people have asked me whether I dye my kids’ hair. It seems like a very strange question]
LOL! Who would dye their kid’s hair? (Pageant moms, maybe?) That does seem like a strange question, heh. Peanut’s hair definitely still has some strong red undertones but the lighting in that picture is helping her out, too. In person, she’s kind of a dark strawberry blonde. It’s getting darker all the time and I think she’ll ultimately settle on light brown, or maybe chestnut like her aunt. But I hope she always keeps some of that red in there! I love red hair and always wished I had it (like many girls who grew up reading “Anne of Green Gables,” I expect).
We had a marvelous holiday, and I hope your family did too!
